NIGHT RACE.
Singapore is the very first night race in Formula 1 racing history, with the race starting at 8pm prime time for European television audiences to enjoy the spectacle of a floodlit race in the hours of darkness.
Originally named the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the circuit’s layout is unique between turns 18 and 19 where the cars race underneath a section of grandstand of the Floating Platform.

A bespoke, state-of-the-art flood-lighting system provides optimal visibility for all participants at the race, spectators and Television viewers alike..
The Singapore race-track made its F1 debut in September 2008, when the Spaniard Fernando Alonso of the Renault F1 team won the race.
In 2010 Fernando Alonso once again won the race but this time for Ferrari in front of huge crowds.
