Malaysia's F1 Grand Prix has always had people on the edge of their seats...and for good reason.

Nine World Championship Malaysian Grands Prix have seen a good deal of action on and off the track, whilst the erratic extreme swings in weather, make the challenge all that more difficult, from tropical stiorms, to 40+ degrtees heat to high winds, making this one of the most challenging races of the season.


The most memorable of the Malaysian Grand Prix  events was in Sepang, at the country's first F1 Race event in 1999.
To date, there has not been such an eventful race held in the country.
It saw Michael Schumacher return to the sport after his absence due to a broken leg sustained at that year’s British F1 Grand Prix, dominating the race and handing the victory to title-hopeful team-mate Eddie Irvine, only for both Ferraris to be disqualified due to a technical irregularity, handing the title, until the steward’s decision was over-ruled, to Mika Häkkinen.
