On the outskirts of Milan lies one of the oldest tracks in Formula 1. It is also one of the most evocative of venues, the banked curves of old have long gone but the atmosphere remains as a temple to all things Ferrari. It is a fast track which comes down to pure horsepower. A minimum of down force is required and to set the quickest times the drivers must use the curbs.

This weighs heavily on the dependability of the chassis and it is not uncommon to see the race leading car expire near the end due to a failure of one sort or another. The Autodroma di Monza, is one of the oldest circuits visited by todays grand prix circus. Situated on the outskirts of Milan, this historic circuit, with its classic European layout, definately favours cars with the edge aimed at high straight line speed.

The atmosphere is more akin to a Champions League football match than a motor race with the Tiffosi supporting their beloved red Ferrari's with undying passion.
